ABSTRACT
Introduction: A training strategy is presented to a multidisciplinary team responsible for the coverage of timely detection of breast and cervical cancer in a medical unit with the aim of improving their results through a constructivist methodology supported by information and communication technologies (ICT). Objectives: To use the constructivist training approach supported by social networks and ICT in the training of the group responsible for the timely detection of cervical cancer and breast cancer to improve the results in coverage indicators, improve knowledge of the subject, as well as the organizational climate. Methodology: The multidisciplinary team responsible for coverage in the detection of breast and cervical cancer was trained with a constructivist approach. The group used social networks, face-to-face and online training, as well as information availability on a continuous basis for six months. The ICT used were WhatsApp, Dropbox and Moodle. The impact on indicators of detection coverage, organizational climate, general knowledge of the subject and the development of projects by the group were measured. Results: The timely detection coverage indicators, the organizational climate indicators and subject knowledge increased in a statistically significant manner. Proposals for improvement were also made in the form of projects. Conclusions: Using training with constructivist methodology supported by ICT in health teams significantly improves the results of timely detection of cervical and breast cancer, as well as basic knowledge on the subject and the organizational climate, creativity is also promoted through improvement projects.REFERENCES
