ABSTRACT
Hepatitis C virus infection supposes an important health problem in renal transplanted patients due to its negative impact on graft survival. The degree of hepatopathy before the transplant and administered immunosuppression are the two main prognostic factors in the progress of infection. It is convenient to optimise the diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis C carrier included in the Kidney Transplant Program for increasing the pool of receptors and avoiding the complications occurring after transplantation.
