Introduction: Hepatic cirrhosis in the last 20 years has been part of the 10 main causes of death in Cuba whose patients can present cardiovascular alterations as the cirrhotic miocardiopathy that worsen their presage. Objective: To determine the behavior of the cirrhotic miocardiopathy in the Iván Portuondo Hospital from San Antonio de los Baños among 2013 and 2016.
Material and Methods: A simple was selected by order of 152 patients' appearance with hepatic cirrhosis following inclusion approaches in a design of traverse analytic observational study of the universe of 455 patients admitted in rooms of internal medicine. Variables were used contained in: of partner-demographic, clinical characterization and of complementary exams and it was carried out a discriminant multivariable analysis to predict the group of patient with cirrhotic miocardiopathy.
Results: In 70 patients (46.5 %) was diagnosed cirrhotic miocardiopathy for ecocardiography in rest. Of the 14 clinical independent variables and of the 20 of the complementary exams in 7 and 11 significant association was evidenced respectively, with the dependent variable (presence of cirrhotic miocardiopathy); it facilitated to obtain a discriminant function of classification with a predicting capacity of 90.8 %.
Conclusions: The cirrhotic miocardiopathy can be suspected in probabilistic terms using the predicting models of classification for discriminant multivariable analysis.
