ABSTRACT
In renal transplant, several laboratory and radiologic studies are performed for the potential donor, such as intravenous pyelography and renal arteriography; the most frequent anatomic variant is the presence of supernumerary vessels. In this case we report a left cava vein, wich has a frequency between 0.2 and 0.5%. This variant was diagnosed during the renal donor protocol; the graft placement was done without incidents.
