ABSTRACT
Education as an act of transmission of the culture accumulated by humanity, must play a creative function in terms of cultural and social progress. The purpose is therefore to highlight the relationship that exists between the processes: education, instruction and development, as components of the educational process that make it possible to fulfill the objective of education: the integral formation of the individual and his preparation for life. This process is distinguished by its integral, renovating and contextualized character, in which the learning contents resulting from the scientific and technical development and local history are articulated to the teaching contents. Then a new content arises that favors, as the student assimilates it, the transformation of its modes of action. Environmental Education through the transmission of knowledge and responsible attitudes on the basis of sustainable development, is also one of the fundamental elements in the formation of the personality of individuals, in light of the environmental conflicts of the contemporary world, in the dimensions, political, economic and social.
