ABSTRACT
Introduction: the determination of enzymatic activity is a part of the clinical diagnosis established for decades, since it was observed that the enzymes related to the metabolism of tissues occur in serum, the number of diagnostic tests has increased considerably in recent years. These enzymatic models are characteristic for a particular organ allowing their identification without the use of morphological methods. Objective: to describe the behavior of the enzymatic ratios of people who drink alcohol with dependence without clinical symptoms, as well as the behavior with the years of addiction. Method: this is an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study in a universe of 297 patients belonging to the Julián Grimau Polyclinic, classified by the family doctor as heavy drinkers dependent on alcohol without clinical symptoms, in the period from January to December 2017. A survey was carried out, the data were presented in tables to facilitate communication and understanding of the results. Results: the group between 20 and 29 years of addiction is where there is more people involved, these parameters correspond to the incidence of positivity of enzymes that behaved directly and proportional to the years of addiction of alcoholic beverages. Conclusions: there is movement in the values of the enzymatic models of the patients, the ratio of Ganmaglutamyl-transpectidase/aspartate-aminotransferase is the most relevant to detect the liver damage by alcohol, compared with the Ritis coefficient and the lactic dehydrogenase ratio /aspartate aminotransferase.
