ABSTRACT
In the 50s and 60s of the 20th century, the Secretaría de Salubridad y Asistencia (Ministry of Health and Welfare) ran several vertical sanitary campaigns. Their actions included children and were captured in photographs that, in addition to recording and reporting the work of the brigade members, fulfilled the role of demonstrating the government's concern for the health of Mexicans. These images are part of a discourse aimed at emphasizing the extent of sanitary activities.REFERENCES
