ABSTRACT
Introduction: It is intended to show the evolution suffered by the components of demographic dynamics within Mexican society during the period 1910-2010. Methodology: Vital statistics, population censuses (including the intercensal count of 2015) and selected sociodemographic surveys were used. Results: In 1910, the population was 15.2 million, while for 2015, it increased to 119.5 million individuals. This implies that the population has doubled three times in the course of one hundred years. Among the most drastic changes suffered throughout the twentieth century are those referring both to demographic and epidemiological behavior, either in the area of birth and mortality, both with a notable decrease, which is translated by the increase in hope of life and the aging of the population.REFERENCES
