ABSTRACT
Introduction: in the defense of symbols, history and pride of being Cuban, the spirit engendered by the representatives of the national school played a significant role. The teaching performance of the professors of the Faculty of Health Technology requires satisfying the demands of society in the integral formation of the students who attend this faculty, to the centers and scenarios of the Education in the Work, to strengthen the feelings of belonging to the cultural community and the history of Cuba. Objective: To articulate a definition of cuban cultural identity in the teaching performance of professors of the Faculty of Health Technology from the systematization of studies of various authors that can constitute a reference for Medical Sciences. Methods: The analysis of the historical development of the object to be investigated was carried out. The elements that make up the process of cuban cultural identity were studied, as well as the events related to the development of the topic and its treatment by different authors. Analysis of texts and documents related to the process of cuban cultural identity was carried out, as well as the articles of various publications, printed and digital. Conclusions: The exploration of the definitions of cuban cultural identity and teaching performance made it possible to operationally define the cuban cultural identity in the teaching performance of the professors of the Faculty of Health Technology, from the regularities found in the area of Medical Sciences, after to systematize the study.
