ABSTRACT
Pemphigus vulgaris is a chronic blistering disease of autoimmune
origin, characterized by intraepidermal blister formation
due to acantholysis. We report a 31 year-old woman, diagnosed
with bulimia nervosa with a history of flaccid blisters, erosions,
in the skin and oral mucosa, and also referred dysphagia. Laryngoscopy
was perfomed, erosions were found in the posterior
pharynx and larynx. The panendoscopy reported the formation
of erosions and whitish pseudomembranes in the esophagus.
The results of skin and esophageal mucosa biopsies were consistent
with pemphigus vulgaris. The objective of presenting the
following case is to demostrate the importance of multidisciplinary
management required for these patients.
