ABSTRACT
First-degree atrioventricular conduction block
and right bundle branch block present a common
feature: pacients usually are asymtomatic. Intraventricular
conduction disorder has been associated
with an increase in cardiovascular risk and
an increase in any cause mortality. AV block,
despite being I degree, has been associated with
an increased risk of death, heart failure and atrial
fibrillation. We present the case of an electrocardiogram
that presents these two findings with a
marked prolongation of the atrioventricular conduction.
Diagnostic criteria and key points of
management will be reviewed.
