ABSTRACT
Introduction. We present a patient with multiple vascular accesses, the last right brachiocephalic fistula,
considered as valuable access that presented pseudoaneurysm and stenosis after puncture, it was
successfully treated with endovascular treatment and exclusion with a Stent graft.
Objectives. To compare current evidence with the exposed case and salvage of fistula using endovascular
therapy.
Material and methods. Search for systematic reviews and clinical trials in databases: PubMed, Embase,
Ovid, Scielo to integrate current evidence and subsequent critical management analysis of the clinical
case in question.
Results. Thrill was evident throughout the hemodialysis access. Ultrasound revealed no flow in the
aneurysmal sac and flow improvement up to 1,549 mL/min, with subsequent successful hemodialysis
punctures and sessions.
Conclusions. The use of Stent graft has demonstrated good primary permeability in the field of rescue
of vascular accesses for hemodialysis with complications.
