ABSTRACT
Atopic eczema, or atopic dermatitis is until today a complex and little understood disease, it has a wide range of clinical dermatological manifestations, age of presentation and associated conditions. With different treatments according to these differences. In mild to moderate cases; the use of emollient creams, baths, antihistamines, topical steroids and creams of calcineurin inhibitors are the first line of treatment. Patients will suffer severe atopic eczema if their rate of SCORAD is greater than 40. These patients do not have a universally accepted treatment, thus varying from case to case. This article aims to describe 3 pediatric patients with severe atopic dermatitis that were treated successfully at low to medium doses of with methotrexato with minimal complications.
