Bleeding in the apix of the ear for treatment of hypertensive emergencies

ABSTRACT
Introduction: hypertensive emergency is called to the sudden tensional increasing in moderate or severe hypertensives which is not accompanied bt damage in the target organs. Blood pressure should decrease in the following 24 hours, and oral drugs may be prescribed.Objective: to describe the response to the treatment of hypertensive emergencies with the use of the technique of bleeding in the apix of the ear.
Method: a descriptive prospective was performed to describe the response to the treatment of hypertensive emergencies with the use of the technique of bleeding in the apix of the ear in patients assisted in a Doctor’s Office from June to December, 2013.The universe was formed by 61 patients with hypertensive emergencies treated in this doctor’s office. The application of this technique consiste don causing a decrete bleeding when performing a punction able to cause a bleeding of 10 drops with needles of three edges or prismtic needles.
Results: It was observed that the male sex prevailed in patients from 51 to 61 years old.
Conclusions: the positive effect with the use of the technique of bleeding in the apix of the auricular ear was shown in most of the patients with hypertensive emergencies, for its control without the use of conventional treatments; so, it is justified the treatment in patients who suffer from hypertension, because it facilitated the improvement of patients in crisis.
