ABSTRACT

Hair pathology is often overlooked during undergraduate medical training. However, because of its high prevalence in the clinical practice it is important to know the basic principles of hair growth and the most frequent pathologies that afflict this structure and how to make an adequate diagnosis and treatment for each patient.
