ABSTRACT
One complication of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy, is HELLP syndrome, severe preeclampsia, eclampsia, and gestational hypertension, can occur in pregnancy or puerperium. This can happen in 0.5-0.9% of all pregnancies, 4-14% of all women preeclampsia / eclampsia and in 4% in the postpartum period. Maternal mortality is close to 1-24%, mainly due cerebral hemorrhages. Perinatal mortality is 40%, due to prematurity, intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), and placental abruption.REFERENCES
