ABSTRACT
Background: The implementation of plan D in Medical career, the extension of enrollment, the need to appeal to teachers with little experience in teaching the curricular unit Metabolism-Nutrition as a new subject derived from Morphophysiology IV, supported the need to look for strategies to teach the subject. Objective: To propose the methodological and didactic organization of the class according to the dynamics of the teaching-learning process in the subject Metabolism-Nutrition. Methodology: A qualitative descriptive investigation of a pedagogical nature was carried out during the 2nd semester, from February to July 2017 academic year. The scientific methods, analysis and synthesis, the logical historical, the documentary review, the group interview to teachers and an observation guide for students were used. Results: Insufficient methodological preparation of the subject, irregularities in the organization of the didactic requirements of the class, learning needs by the group taking into account their limited pedagogical experience. Digital media containing the different organizational forms of teaching work were elaborated, organized in a methodological and didactic way with distinctive elements and accompanied by educational didactic tools and facilitators of connection with educational work, medical practice and familiarization with the clinical epidemiological method. Conclusions: The criterion issued by teachers and students was favorable. The access was made through the site servicios.ucm.ssp.sld.cu. The organization of the subject Metabolism-Nutrition was based on the particular didactics of medical sciences to be consistent with the current demands of the university, which may contribute to the self-management of knowledge by students and beginning teachers using scientific information techniques depending on the teaching-learning process.
