ABSTRACT
We report a flap-related complication that was detected 1 month after a laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) performed in one eye of a 20-year-old man. The initial diagnosis was epithelial growth on the interface. Later, interior folding of the flap was diagnosed during the surgical procedure to remove the epithelial growth. Repositioning of the flap resulted in a best corrected visual acuity of 20/20. We discuss the possible causes of this complication and describe our treatment.
