ABSTRACT
Health care and training of health professionals are social processes that guarantee the individual health of the members of Cuban society. This paper addresses the fundamentals of the professional performance evaluation model of the Bachelor of Hygiene and Epidemiology. The evaluation of the professional performance contributes to stimulate the professional development of the workers in the fulfillment of their labor and social functions, as well as to elevate the quality of the services that are provided. Describing the supports of the proposed evaluation model allows us to identify the bases for evaluating the modes of action of this professional.
