ABSTRACT
Ischemic heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in many countries, including Cuba. Coronary angioplasty is a therapeutic option for the revascularization of these patients. We reviewed 59 bibliographical references with the aim of describing the knowledge about cardiovascular rehabilitation in patients who are subjected to this therapeutic procedure. This is essential in the integral management of the disease. Risk stratification, supervised physical training, secondary prevention, sexual orientations and psychological intervention are fundamental elements of it.
