ABSTRACT
Arthroscopy of the knee is one of the surgical techniques most frequently used in orthopedic surgery and traumatology. An experimental, randomized, controlled and blind evaluation study by third parties was carried out, with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of preartroscopy and post-knee reconstruction in patients who were subjected to it at the 13 de Marzo University Polyclinic in Bayamo city, Granma province, Cuba; 70 patients participated; divided into two groups A, control and B, experimental. The information was collected in a data collection form and processed through the professional statistics programs PASW STATISTICS 25 and STATISTICA 10. The descriptive measures were calculated, and the results are presented in tables and graphs. The proposed program obtained excellent results, proved its effectiveness in 94.3%. Patients in group B presented a better evolution than those in group A and in less time. It is recommended to extend the study to other health areas and its application in an organized manner in both stages.
