ABSTRACT
Heyde’s syndrome is an unusual entity, first
described in 1958. It is the association of chronic
gastrointestinal bleeding due to angiodysplasia
and calcific aortic stenosis, both degenerative
processes in conjuntion with acquired
coagulopathy IIA type of von Willebrand factor
(vWF). We present the case of a patient with
shortness of breath and chest pain with
gastrointestinal bleeding, with later diagnostic of
aortic stenosis, and later transcatheter aortic
valve replacement (TAVR).
