ABSTRACT
Introduction: Squamous cell carcinoma located in the skin is a curable disease. There are several treatments to eradicate non-invasive squamous cell carcinomas (in situ), which can be used alone or in combination. Objective: To evaluate the results of the combined therapy with curettage, radiosurgery and cryosurgery in the treatment of non-invasive squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: A longitudinal and prospective descriptive study was carried out in 38 patients treated in the dermatology service of tumors of Hermanos Ameijeiras Clinical Surgical Hospital between January and December 2015. Results: 47.4% were 70 years old or older. 55.3% were male. 76.3% referred photoexposure. 5.8% were actinic keratoses. The response to treatment was complete in 89.5%, 78.9% were satisfied with the procedure and only 21.1% had adverse effects. Conclusions: In the combined therapy with curettage, cryosurgery and radiosurgery, a complete response and a good degree of satisfaction was achieved in the majority of the patients studied, as well as a low frequency of adverse effects, among which alopecia was highlighted.
