Representations on clinical psychology in fourth year´s students of the career

ABSTRACT
The article presents the results of the systematization carried out by the author, from 2005 to present, in the university field in the Chair of Clinical Psychology. The students who study this subject are the first time they have contact with the functions of the psychologist who works in this area. In the first meeting held in the Group of Practical Work, inquired about the representations that students have on clinical psychology. It is a work of systematization, qualitative cutting. The sample is made up of 625 university students in total. Among the results it is highlighted that the representations that appear with greater recurrence are those of clinical psychology as a synonym of therapy and psychoanalysis, and the formulation of the diagnosis in psychopathological terms. Towards the end of the academic year, the students modify these representations, broadening the conceptualization they have on clinical psychology.REFERENCES
