Dynamics and impact of care to couples with infertility

ABSTRACT
A descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective study was conducted in order to determine the dynamics of the consultation and the impact on infertile couples in Guantánamo hospital during the period July 2011 to March 2014. The universe was a population of 732 couples, extracting a sample of 56 couples randomly selected, according to the achievement of her pregnancy. Couples are in a passive state, in care, pregnancy achievement and its evolution, time and type of infertility and type of delivery: the variables were used: pregnancy was achieved in 37 % of couples, predominantly couples with more than three years of infertility, secondary in women (69.6 %) and primary in men (51.8 %) and 41.0 % of pregnant and had their Birth. The dynamics of the consultation raises upward trend of cases addressed and stay in the same to achieve success and positive impact on the quality of care provided and demonstrated positive results.
