Epidemiological clinical behavior of pediatric hypertension. Study of some variables

ABSTRACT
A retrospective study was conducted with the aim of describing the epidemiological clinical behavior of hypertension in patients who have been assisted at the Pediatric Hospital from January 2014 to January 2016. The universes of study comprised 58 patients diagnosed with Hypertension. Primary data were obtained from the review of medical records. The variables were studied: age groups, gender, reason for admission, nutritional evaluation, family medical history of hypertension and treatment. The most relevant results were: predominance of adolescents, male, obese over weights and sex, the headache as a symptom at admission, family history of hypertension present in the father and/or mother, and drug treatment. Conclusions and recommendations were issued.
