Child sexual abuse: Main features and consequences in adolescents with behavioral alterations

ABSTRACT
Many adolescents with behavioral alterations have been victims of sexual abuse experiences which have impacted on their behavioral deterioration and the full enjoyment of their sexuality. This research aims to assess main features and consequences of sexual abuse in a group of adolescents with behavioral alterations. The sample was composed of adolescents with behavioral alterations, mostly females aged between 13 and 16, who have been victims of sexual abuse. A case study was made by using interviews and questioning methods. It is a descriptive-observational research focused on a qualitative methodology based on the comprehension of reality, and how these people experience and interpret it. The main consequences were fear, repugnance, depression, anxiety, anguish, lack of confidence, shame, sleeping disorders, consumption of toxic substances, behavioral damage to social, family and interpersonal relationships, and the appearance of Dissocial Behavioral Disorder or its deterioration in those who have it already. There are other consequences in sexual and couple matters, such as the rejection and hostility to sexuality or to the masculine sex, increase in sexuality interest, early sexual intercourse, absent of sexual desire, problems to reach the orgasm, pain in genitals, unstable relationships and in some cases sex in return for money.
