ABSTRACT
We present a clinical case of a female patient with a diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the brain, with clinical data hemolysis and transfusion requirements, anemic syndrome, with positive irregular antibody screening. Immunohematologic basic tests were used for the identification of the specificity of these antibodies, finding a mixture of anti-E, anti-Jk
b, anti-Fy
a and through a directed panel with triple negative cells identified an anti-Js
b, which has been very infrequently reported and which has an uncertain clinical significance. We describe the diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties in immunohematology of these patients with transfusional requirements, and the need of having in Mexico available reagents for the proper identification of high incidence antigens in Hispanic population as well as the implementation of molecular biology techniques for diagnosis in immunohematology.
