ABSTRACT
Introduction: the study refers to the limitations in the training of professional skills in the dispensary during the process of training of technicians in Pharmaceutical Services through the subject Pharmaceutical Technology; which influence the professional performance of the future human resources of Health. Objective: to design a new program for the subject Pharmaceutical Technology that contributes to the process of training the professional skills of the technician in Pharmaceutical Services. Materials and methods: historical theoretical methods, documentary, structural systemic approach and modeling were used. As empirical methods, observation, survey and interview were applied. The statistical processing of the information allowed us to obtain the frequency analysis in percentages. Results: the knowledge system was organized and the skills to be formed in the students during the practical activities were identified; which formed the basis for the program model of the subject Pharmaceutical Technology. Discussion: identification of cognitive needs was achieved, for training and development of professional skills in the dispensary. Conclusions: the lack of skills in the students of Pharmaceutical Services for the elaboration of medicines is asserted due to the inaccuracy in the domain of specific practical skills not acquired in the training process, which affects the professional performance in the dispensary for the future technical. The Pharmaceutical Technology program was modeled.
