State of the question: how would be a training program at the workplace for decision making of safe acts for workers in the construction industry?

ABSTRACT
Antecedents: This article presents the problem that, despite training in the workplace promoting safety and health, year after year injuries and occupational diseases continue to increase, where the main cause of these is the unsafe acts of workers. And then the question is: how would be a training program at the workplace for decision making of safe acts for workers in the construction sector? Objective: To understand the scientific production of the last ten years on training in the workplace for the decision making of safe acts for workers in the construction sector. Material and method: A systematic search in the electronic bibliographic databases of the academic area of the Health Sciences of the University of Antioquia. Results: Training at the workplace should promote the development of technical skills and decision making, and it is through the training processes that the worker can develop the judgment and criteria for making appropriate decisions in the execution of tasks and timely and convenient in the use of the personal protection elements. Conclusions: A workplace training program for making safe work decisions in construction workers is novel and can be an opportunity to help reduce the range of possibilities for work-related injuries and illnesses.
