ABSTRACT

Introduction: Active smoker over mortality existence propitiates occupational productivity absolute lose existence, but it do not determinate absolutely it existence. Objective: To develop a procedure to determinate the cost associated to the absolute occupational productivity loss attributable to smoking. Material and method: To make this procedure were selected some explicative variables for smoking over mortality and there were described mathematically the main relations that it establish between these. From the mathematic relation previous described it form an equation system to solve by substitution method. The procedure was applied to whole Cuban population in 2011 like example by the witch was used the III National Asking for Risk Factors and the national Yearbook as primary information sources. All statistic information was processed by Microsoft Excel 2013. Results: It was made a procedure for estimating the cost by active smoker productivity loss. The applying of this procedure to Cuba in the 2011 showed the serious troubles because of smoking over potential life because of smoking existence.
