ABSTRACT
Intrafamily violence has great significance in this globalized, postmodernist and virtual society, violence is evident in the media in the workplace, social environment, family, etc. But if this did not affect; Alcohol or drugs would be enough to turn users into violent and unscrupulous beings. The study was carried out for women in the province of Azuay who are part of the project sponsored by the Azuay prefecture "Equidar". The women who participated in this research range between the ages of 18 and 65, the sample consisted of 5,641 Women from a universe of 9600. The objective of the present study was to identify the victims of intrafamily violence by their partners. The Family Health Record was used for the study, highlighting two fundamental topics: physical abuse and alcohol consumption as factors that cause intrafamily violence. The results show that 2,100 women, or 45.52%, have been victims of intrafamily violence. As for the perception about alcohol as it triggers intrafamily violence, 92.80% consider that there is a direct relationship. This information leads us to believe that this thought is a cultural belief in the woman of the Province of Azuay.REFERENCES
