ABSTRACT
Considering that the conventional pharmaco-therapeutic drug profile does not collect data related to the occupational environment exhaustively and due to the impact that this might have for the diagnosis and compliance of the treatment in the diseases detected in our patients, we decided to apply A different pharmaco-therapeutic profile (PFT)model, which collect data more related to the occupational clinic and that responded more comprehensively to the pharmaceutical care of hypertensive patients. With this work we propose to obtain a PFT model that is more related to the occupational health profile, as well as to promote and educate the hypertensive patient in healthier lifestyles, preventing possible medication errors and drug related problems that interfere in adherence to treatment and success. A data collection of 30 hypertensive patients admitted to the Occupational Clinic of the National Institute for Workers' Health (INSAT) of Havana . A pharmaco-therapeutic Profile (PFTO) was used as the instrument. From the observation and a structured interview, socio-demographic, clinical, social and physical and chemical risks were obtained at the workplace. The analysis of these data allowed us to know the lack of adherence to the basic treatment, so a personalized pharmaceutical attention and intervention was made that contributes to improve this deficit, making the indicated therapeutics more effective and safe.
