ABSTRACT
Introduction: Age and health relationship in a group of workers who attend regular medical examinations conducted by the National Institute for Workers' Health (Insat) of Havana, in the period 2008-2013, is explored. Material and method: A database It is made using the statistical package SPSS (version 19), which includes the trials of several specialists in professional diseases and explore health in 3474 subjects, assessing their current health status (relative) and diagnosing after passing the examination committee. Results: They show the association of age, both the diagnosis exposed by workers, as established by the commission. There is no correlation between age and risk perception. The relationship between age and different specialties involved in the preventive examination was also shown. Similarly, a relationship between age and physical examination is described. Conclusions: The proposed design and the sample do not allow generalization. Evidence reached in this research speaks of a linear relationship between age and health status of workers experience and general literature are questioned; new investigations must understand the type of work and the demands for the exposed worker.
