ABSTRACT
Functional food is considered to those food that addition to provide benefits to the health, have substances, whose consumption daily contributes to keep healthy the organism and improve the general welfare. In our case the functional food incorporate to a healthy diet in who suffer of hypercholesterolemia and without inadequate alimentary habits , smoking or alcoholism, achieved with success our main objective, to decrease the levels lipids in plasma, specially in patients with dyslipidemia that can't take estatines or fiblates or demonstrate liver diseases with high transaminase. The methodology used in this bibliographic revision, had its beginning the search in Google and web pages so, Elsevier, Pub Med, and another articles of nutrition and medicative herbages in relation with the food to reduce the lipids, that are very consumed and easy to acquire by our people, such as fruit and vegetables,etc. The related functional food in this article provide us , one wide option as healthy, that must have them present in the treatment of the dysilipidemia and associated deseases as the atherosclerosis.
