ABSTRACT
The newborn has a basal metabolism according to his total body water and nutriments intake. The puerperal Sonora woman consumes in her daily diet a high quantities of sodium, wich increases the sodium concentration breast milk. The consumption of great quantities of sodium in breast milk has made in newborn propense to an electrolyte disbalance of this ion that could cause to shock, seizures and clotting problems even thought that the proportion and volume of milk intake is sufficient. We present a case report with the clinical history of fever and diarrhea
