ABSTRACT
Introduction: In 2015, the National Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery began the introduction of a computerization system, developed by the University of Computer Sciences. At present its implementation has not finished. Objective. The aim of the study is to characterize the causes involved in this delay and to propose a plan of innovation alternatives. Methods: Between October and November 2017 a research in System and Service Health was conducted. Techniques such as brainstorming, documental review and Ishikawa diagram were performed in order to determine the causes. The generation and selection of innovation alternatives was based on the impact of barriers determined by experts weighting, 7S diagrams, Pareto analysis and Knowledge / Attitude / Practices system. Results: The problem is associated to 5.1% of the economic and social policy of the Party and Revolution guidelines. Fifteen barriers affecting the process were characterized. Barriers with greater impact on essential factor of the organization and those affecting the Knowledge / Attitude / Practices system were coincident. Resistance to change, inadequate communication and the different vision between developers and users were considered as the most difficult to solve. Seven innovations were selected, according to the impact/feasibility index. Conclusions: The proposed alternatives of innovations, based on the impact of the barriers, most contribute in decisively in solving the problem.
