ABSTRACT
Objective: characterize the possible selected abuse forms, in grown-ups that present some dependence grade, entered in the CITED in the understood period of January to May of 2014, and identify if relationship exists between the possible selected abuse forms and the age, as well as between this and the dependence grade, and identify if relationship exists between the possible selected abuse forms and the perception of the family relationships and between this and the caretaker's load. Method: an observational study is presented, descriptive of traverse court, in a sample non probabilistic (41 old men) of grown-ups entered in the CITED (January-May 2014), in 60 years and more that have some dependence grade that you/they have caretaker, of both sexes, with mental capacity for the realization of the techniques, volunteers, with the objective of: to characterize the possible abuse forms. They were considered: sex, age, abuse types, perception of family relationships and it loads of the caretaker. The Survey was applied on Abuse in Old men, the Test of Perception of the old man's family Relationships, an interview structured semi, observation and it Climbs of Load of the Caretaker Zarit-Zarit, according to the variable type the statistic was used. One kept in mind the ethical principles. Conclusions: The types of more frequent abuses reported by the grown-ups were: the negligence and the psychological one, followed by the financial abuse. More than half of the sample they presented possible abuse forms. They offer final recommendations.
