ABSTRACT
«Curriculum», depending on the educational tendency can be considered as a synonym of Study Plan. This Study Plan will be the one considered for the purposes of this study. We analyzed the curricular structure since 1917 to 1999. The school subjects were grouped in basic, clinical, sociomedical, military, military health, and cultural. The results show that since the school foundation with only 39 subjects, these were increased to 136 in 1998, with a significant increase in the military and cultural subjects, strengthening the graduates profile. From a traditional model, where the teacher organizes and conducts the information to the student, we go to a model supported in conductive psychology, conceptualizing the process of learning as a measurable change in behavior. About terminal efficiency in the period under study, we observed a downward trend. The new scientific medicine tendencies, the Mexican society and the military institution should all be considered in order to change the curriculum from curative to preventive medicine.REFERENCES
