ABSTRACT

Idiopatic calcification of intervertebral disc in children is rare and it is responsible of a painful syndrome. It has a favorable answer to the conservative treatment in the majority of cases and it just requires other treatment exceptionally. With the objective: to present a clinic-radiologic case of a child with disc calcification, a very rare condition but it is important to consider in the differential diagnosis of back pain. Although it is a rare condition in childhood, is very important to know and deep in its manage to get the correct and early diagnose and correct treatment, avoiding invasive procedures.
