The validation of the instrument included its application -in two chances-on a randomized sample of 300 women belonging to the group aged 40-59 years, cared for in Párraga Polyclinic, following WHO recommendations. Results: The instrument was presented changes related with the adjustments for the targeted sex. The instrument is stable regarding time, since a Sperman coefficient was computed as 0.523 (p=0,000), and homogenous, with global a of Cronbach of 0.78, ranging from 0.759 y 0.797. A multi-factor structure was corroborated, with 7 factors, in which the predominating dimensions are: environment, physical health, socials and psychological relations. Conclusions: The instrument WHOQOL meet the requirements of feasibility and validity demanded to be used in the assessment of the average-aged Cuban woman.
