ABSTRACT
Introduction: The relation between the learning content and social practice constitutes an important approach to work with the local history. Objective: Design actions for the methodological treatment of nursing history in the community from the teaching programs activity. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional research during the academic year 2015- 2016 in Lidia Doce Medical Sciences Venue at Sagua la Grande. Out of a target group of 47 professors, a sample of 23 was chosen by simple randomized probability sampling. To obtain the information, we used observation and the survey. Results: Insufficient work with the nursing history in the community from the teaching programs. In the 86.66 % of the observed lessons, certain aspects were not addressed, such as the community nursing development, the history of life of personalities outstanding for their services, human values and social participation. The professors present scarce knowledge about the community nursing history. Eight actions were designed for the methodological work. Conclusions: From the insufficiencies identified, we created methodological actions that were assessed as pertinent by experts, and as effective to be applied due to the human and material resources availability to employ them, and with scientificpedagogical quality for their implementation.
