ABSTRACT
Trichotillomania is defined as the recurrent pulling out of one’s own hair that causes areas of alopecia. It predominates in childhood, and has no preference of sex in the pediatric population. The use of dermoscopy in this skin disease is a useful tool for the diagnosis, easy to use and painless for the patient. We report the case of an eight-year-old female patient with trichotillomania and its dermoscopic findings.
