Comparative Study of Satisfaccion of Patients with Skin Cancer Treated by Surgery

ABSTRACT
A comparative study of patient satisfaction: two groups of patients with skin cancer have been treated by surgical excision or by curettage-electrodesiccation. In this study, we attempted to know if there are some difference in patient satisfacction, focused on surgical modality.Material and Methods: The patient satisfaction has been studied by the focus group system and enquirement. Fifty-five patiens with basal cell carcinoma (low-risk) have been included: 27 have been treated by surgical excision and 28 by curettage-electrodiseccation.Results and comment: We have not found diferences in patient satisfaction treated by surgical excision or curettage-electrodesiccation. In both cases the patients manifest they are satisfied or very satisfied.
