ABSTRACT
Paracoccidioidomycosis is the most frequent deep mycosis in
Paraguay, usually acquired by inhalation, affecting the lungs and
spreading to any organ especially the oropharyngeal mucosa.
Skin involvement is less frequent and rarely a primary skin inoculation.
Four cases of paracoccidioidomycosis with cutaneous lesions
affecting the feet are presented here, as the only mucocutaneous
location, and differential diagnoses are discussed.
