ABSTRACT
Bilateral clavicle fracture occurs as a result of trauma caused by high kinetic energy and is associated with concomitant traumatic injuries. This injury requires immediate surgical treatment to restore respiratory function. We present a 32- year-old male patient who had a car accident which resulted in a closed bilateral clavicle fracture without any other significant traumatic injuries. He was initially evaluated as a polytraumatized patient. A surgical treatment was performed using a Kirschner needle and RALCA model external fixator, with two threaded needles in each bone fragment on the left side and a lamina with two screws on the right one; both extremities were immobilized with a sling. The patient needed a evolutive follow-up of the disease course and after twelve weeks, due to his satisfactory evolution, he could incorporate to his normal activity.
