ABSTRACT
Contact between man and toxic products favors that poisonings may not be, at present, unusual and isolated phenomena. Although methanol and ethylene glycol poisonings are not common, they cause high morbidity and mortality, as well as, risk of sequels. Both poisonings require an early treatment in an intensive care unit, and affect people of all ages, genders and social groups.
