ABSTRACT
Introduction: conservative treatment is the most option used in the treatment of renal trauma because most of these lesions evolve satisfactorily. Objective: to describe the results obtained with conservative treatment in patients with renal trauma. Method: it was carried out a descriptive, retrospective study with 89 patients diagnosed with renal trauma treated at the Emergency Service of “Arnaldo Milián Castro” Hospital from 2005 to 2014. Results: the diagnosis was more frequent in male patients of 30-49 years of age, falls occurred more frequently and affected 52,80%, 76,86% were observed and 14,60% underwent surgery, most of the patients evolved satisfactorily and no deceased appeared. Conclusions: conservative behavior in renal trauma is convenient and justified in most cases.REFERENCES
