Teaching Experience of the Online Research Seminar (ORS) at the School of Medicine UNAM (2010-2016)

ABSTRACT
We present the teaching experience of a subject of the Plan of Medical Specializations (PUEM) in Family Medicine, which is taught at the School of Medicine of the UNAM. This subject -the Research Seminar (RS) - has the purpose that the students (residents) of the specialization courses carry out a research work that will present as a thesis. Since 2010, the RS was implemented in the online mode in the blended learning format; the experience obtained after having given the RS for six uninterrupted years through a virtual classroom in MOODLE (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is presented. Different aspects related to the online course are addressed, such as: Instructional design, Training and training of online tutors, Evaluation of students and teachers, Approval and rejection rates, Characteristics of tutoring, Management and school administration.REFERENCES
