ABSTRACT
Arm defects which involve massive muscular tissue loss represent a health issue in economically active people. It is a challenge for the plastic surgeon to restore the function of a limb, whenever there has been major muscular tissue loss. Nowadays, there are different reconstructive options available, which range from pedicled to microsurgical flaps due to its versatility, latissimus dorsi flap is still considered to be the workhorse for anterior and posterior arm defects, with good aesthetic and functional results. We report two cases of functional reconstruction with pedicled latissimus dorsi flap; one for biceps and one for triceps with excellent outcomes.
